World Youth Alliance Africa (WYA Africa) hosted an informative Capacity-building workshop and Advocacy Academy Training for Nairobi members. The three-day intensive program brought together passionate young Kenyans eager to strengthen their knowledge and skills in advocacy, policy engagement, and human dignity.
Participants in the training were exposed to a variety of topics, including the Advocacy White Papers on Sustainable Development. Attendees connected the concepts of human dignity with practical policy issues as they investigated the ethical aspects of development, government, democracy, and international collaboration.
The seminar was vibrant thanks to interactive discussions, group exercises, and quizzes that ensured participants understood and applied important advocacy topics. Participants received practical guidance from the facilitators and experts on how to create effective advocacy campaigns, public engagement tactics, and local projects that adhere to human dignity ideals.
The certification ceremony and the creation of a 20-page methodology on participatory democracy, which was written with the help of an expert, were the training’s highlights.
The Nairobi Chapter continues to embody WYA’s vision of a generation of young Africans equipped to influence policies and shape a future rooted in respect for human dignity.
