WYA Africa is hosting a hybrid training program aimed at equipping 30 African youth leaders with the necessary skills in the design, development, and implementation of advocacy activities that are community-driven.
Program Highlights:
- E-Learning: Advanced understanding of human dignity and advocacy
- Local Project Incubation: in-person workshops to design actionable, community-focused policy initiatives.
- Presentation of Initiatives: Participants will present their initiatives to policymakers and potential funders, highlighting the connection between advocacy and implementation.
Program Objective:
Capacity building through training for 30 African youth leaders to develop and advocate for locally-driven governance initiatives that guarantee meaningful youth participation in decision-making.
Program Description:
This hybrid online-in-person program allows participants to apply the methodologies of advocacy to a real-world context. In the final phase, youth leaders present their policy proposals to relevant stakeholders, including policymakers and funders, for the potential implementation of youth-led projects at the community level.
